| Desk of Technology Despite its name suggests... this is NOT the place where you get you inventions approved. For that, we have Desk of Patents and Innovations. What this nifty thread covers is a full coverage of who is the leader of technology of what. Here we can discuss whose computer is smarter, who has the most resources, and who has the biggest guns. Here, we can determine just WHAT the country is proud of, and shove that into the face of our rivals. This place serves not only to request such a title, but also to DEBATE about the title. However, keep in mind that any fantastic imagination won't get anywhere. In this thread, only VALID, FACTUAL information THAT HAS BEEN POSTED IN THE ROLEPLAY will be accepted. Oh did you have nuclear fusion powerplants? So sorry, it isn't RPed or even placed in the database. Your country has concerns for environment? That certainly doesn't say that in the posts. Debate about country's technology will ONLY be discussed through Roleplaying evidence.

| Current Leaders **Keep in mind that this is import from last forum. This could become no longer valid as map placings have been changed.** - Spoiler:
- old Tiberiam wrote:
- Rasvidi:
Rasvidi has a history of Revolutionary mindset, as well as having aggressive intervention policies. This, coupled with major budget in defense as well as involvement in several warfares, have led Rasvidi into creating more pro-military inventions. - Leading Innovator in: Military Technology
- Notable Innovations: Advanced Toxic Weaponry, Incendiary Bullets
- HESS:
HESS, or Holy Edesu Socialist State, is currently the largest producer of oil as well as agriculture. It has a pride of being "breadbasket of Hiborea," and provides for much raw resources. Although recent boycott and chain of conflicts have created a downturn for technocratic nation, HESS is still going strong with many inventions that optimize their production capabilities. - Leading Innovator in: Petroleum Processing, Agriculture
- Notable Innovations: Pigoline, Dehydrated Water
- King Isaac:
The Royal nation of King Isaac is a vast nation that has survived through much domestic failings, such as epidemic that had struck the nation. After it political hierarchy almost shaken from its foundations, King Isaac's economy and military power is on par even with the powerful nations of EU. - Leading Innovator in: Uranium-based Technology
- Notable Innovations: N/A
- Oscalantine:
Relatively new nation with strange government system, the Oscalantine innovation usually stays within the interest of the companies, who wish to protect their last bastion of market with much zeal. While the focus of Oscalantine in general stays within defense, Nexus Incorporated, the largest "political party" company of the region has its sights in Information Technology, and as such the entire country is more focused in IT and computer technologies in general. - Leading Innovator in: Information Technology
- Notable Innovations: Stealth Submarine, Submerged Aircraft Carrier, Mg-O Fuel Cells, Thermal Laser
- Civa-Orchestra:
One of the oldest nations in Tiberiam, the denizens of Civa-Orchestra stays relatively isolationistic towards rest of the world. With such limited access to information, it is difficult to tell what the government's interests are in, and what is the most notable technologies that the nation has invented. However, in terms of guarding their secrets with much zeal, there are very few that can match Civa-Orchestra. - Leading Innovator in: N/A
- Notable Innovations: N/A

| Ah, my favorite thread. Time to update our records.
First, Serilaq is KIA. It needs to be removed from the list.
Next, your favorite nation, me. Although Edes will remain the world's agricultural giant, I'm forsaking my petoleum hegemony, partially because Edes is devoid of oil. And to replace it...
Medicine. I want to be the leader in medicine. Edes has a huge state health service (shocker), and it imposes some slightly draconian measures to keep itself #1 in health. Every Edesu brushes their teeth twice daily and performs at least one hour of vigorous excerise daily. The big-brother-ish benevolent government makes it so.
Edes consistently ranks #1 in NS polls regarding health. I want to be the leader in medicine. And agriculture.

Huh. Did you ban smoking and other drug use? You probably did, since alcohol is banned in CO. Oh wait, obesity. Duh. Your people are just fat as hell.

I assume obesity is also legal. This further solidifies the HESS's position as global health nut.

| Pfft...
Same as Ras... although different. Corporation in-fighting has set it up so that recreational drugs are hard to find in some Encrypted Cities in certain methods. For instance, Bael, Nexus-oriented city, hates Dazz's legalized recreational drugs, but the city has been lenient on allowing illegal drug trafficking from Rozencruz to pass. In Rhombiom, however, Dazz's drugs are sold everywhere, while finding illegal drug is difficult.
In broad spectrum, if you WANT drugs you can find them. ^^ Oscal is a funny country.
Oh and as for technology stuff... I just imported it from another account, with minus Grace and Isis. They will be updated as more National RPs are done... so if you want leadership in certain places... Make mor National Posts! I'll change things up then ^^

It's just that I'm proud of the drug I invented to cure the pandemic I myself have created.

We will see... remember, desk of technology is reserved for what you show in RP. If you show significant leaps as medical leader (not pandemic maker ^^), I will definitely put you as leading innovator in medicine... same goes for E as well

| Okay.... very long delay...
For now, no changes. I did delete Seriaq. I will also wait until how things goes before I add countries like Karamagon, zee Protectorate, and Isis. The reason why I am holding out is because I have no idea where the crap would go, since we did not have a lot of domestic RP yet.

Here's what I've posted so far. What would be proper progress? What's a realistic accomplishment in the short term? In the long term?

| Alright.... here we go again.
Technology. You guys know the drill. What do you guys think is the MOST important thing in your country that you have the lead in?
Do keep in mind that this isn't compared to other countries, but compared to other industries. ... I would say that, but there is no RIDICULOUS country like Isis anymore, so I assume it is superlative in entire Tiberiam. One or maybe even two would be good.
Since there is no RP history yet, I'll take legacy and your fictional reasoning as support. If you can give me a good support, you will get the technology. Of course, I HAVE to give legacy its due credit, since folks stayed with Tiberiam for awhile... it is only fair that people from old Tiberiam gets a bit of credit for what they did before.
Anyways, let me know... I'll update as I see fit... oh and btw...
NO MILITARY TECHNOLOGY SUPERIORITY!!!
I will say this again... no one excells in navy than anyone else, no one excells in air force than anyone else. Remember that. It will be decided by OMC and OMC-val as well as situational cases. Powerful nations like KI could fail to overcome Civa's small tactical force should the RP situation go on. Remember that you can "boast" that you have the strongest navy, but since it isn't "fact," per se, it won't be included here in Desk of Technology.

| I'd like to claim Green Energy solutions (including nuclear reactor/energy technology). This is not to say Fideliara has more advanced nuclear weapons programs than anyone else. But rather that Fideliara has spent more time, money, and man-hours researching and perfecting methods of harnessing natural (including nuclear) energies.
Given that Fideliara is home to a large portion of the world's supply of fissile materials we had more resources to experiment with. Additionally, our neutral policies mean relying on few nations economically, lest we find ourselves dragged in to every war in the region. Being a socialism with full government control over the power industry; even though there are citizens who disapprove of the more efficient nuclear and more expensive green energy solutions, they have no real say vs government regulations.
Having seen the wars fought over petroleum, having few natural oil reserves itself, and being a socialist country, Fideliara began making the jump to renewable energies faster and with more commitment than many other nations.
Again, to clarify: this would not mean Fideliara has better nukes, or engines, or jet engines, or rockets. It would mean that in general Fideliara is a world leader in nuclear reactor, hydroelectric, wind, and biodiesel technology.

| Don't have to make yourself clear... when you said nuclear, I would've accepted it as energy alternative, not weapons themselves.
As for Lenyo... seriously... PLEASE don't decide other nations on your own... this ... is seriously getting pretty off hand.

| I'd like to claim electronics. UKKI gives special emphasis on electronics. Electronics is the only thing besides from religion that keeps UKKI from putting all of its budget in the defense.
Electronics played a big role when I was trying to improve my economy when you suddenly declared that I'm going to be a 3rd world country in your desk of economy(or something of that sort).

I started the discussion, because it's an important part of our RP. You still green light things. Seriously Osc, at this point you seem to be shooting down everything I do out of habit.

Well any nation doing extensive research on any aspect of nuclear manipulation could (in the real world) be expected to have even accidentally learned a lot about the military aspect of it. Which is why I made a point to clarify. You made such an effort to insist this wasn't the place for weapons/military technology, I didn't want you to think I was doing something wrong or out of spite. - Quote :

Lenyo didn't decide anything on his own. We all picked those industries, including you picking yours. All he did was post our choices from two weeks ago. If those choices aren't valid and valued here in the forum why did we make them at all?

| Aight. If that was the case, I apologize. And... no, Lenyo... you simply have been very vocal in your opinions. I am not shooting down your opinions left and right.
... although... it could've been nice if you made it more clear than to say "A is B." I mean, when you simply state things as if they are facts set in stone by you, I would have been more understanding, eh?
Electronics? Could you define it a bit more, KI? As in that water-powered energy and such? Or are you talking about something else?
